Baby Blankets 1-5
These are all acrylic and approximately 2'x2'.
The first is for my son. I have two of the primary colored one
and am working on a third of the green and purple. =)
Single Socks
I've got a bag full of single socks that I've made.. but didn't enjoy making them /the finished sock enough to make the matching sock.

Knitting for a Cause
If I make and sell 500 baby blankets at $60 a piece, I will be able to eliminate my student loan debt of around $30,000. With this in mind, paying off these loans looks like something I can do and have fun doing. It also sounds like a huge, kooky-knitter project, but it is at least worth starting.
Also, I discovered duplicate stitch in knitscene magazine at Books-A-Million yesterday.

baby blanket joy
Finding a joy in making baby blankets. They are just the right size and a simple shape so that I am free to have fun with colors.

Not Enough Yarn
Running out of yarn near the end of a project is not fun!
I currently have three baby blankets on the needles, the third I started because I am running out of yarn on each of the first two. One is in undyed wool, so I shouldn't have trouble getting more. The other is multicolor, so if the color isn't just right it should turn out okay. The third is red, yellow, and blue and smaller than the first two, so hopefully i shouldn't run nto the same problem.

A few quotes. Missing my knitting. I might get to visit a yarn shop here in Destin in two days. They are closed today and tomorrow. At least we will be home in three days.

Meta knitting
I haven't done any knitting in four days. I've been thinking about my projects hundreds of miles away and the projects I will start with the yarn in my trunk. Meta knitting.
Why do I knit.
What will I knit.
Where will I knit.
..when, for whom
I left my needles at home intentionally so that vacation would be more of a vacation instead of the same old thing that goes on at home. Instead I have time to spend focusing on my husband, my baby, and writing.
I am in search of a decent knitting magazine. I enjoy the articles in Vogue Knitting, but they have posted some questionable and tasteless things on their Facebook page..also the magazine is so full of advertisements it is hard to actually /find/ the articles.
I found knitty.com today. So far i am hopeful. I can't say yet whether I find it decent.
The there are the other knitting magazines that I see in book stores, interweave knits..and a few others of which I have yet to pay much attention.
I'm looking forward to getting home from vacation, finishing up three baby blankets that I have started working on, as well as starting a few others.
